Our Story
For the past 20 years, we’ve had the chance to play a role in helping build a clean energy future. During this journey we realized investment in clean energy has only been accessible to large energy and financial institutions.
We thought to ourselves, why is it that only large institutions have the opportunity to earn these returns on clean energy? Why can’t everyone be involved?
Regulatory complexities, industry expertise and scale of investment have been major hurdles to the average investor. Until now.
We decided to combine our industry experience and knowledge of renewable energy finance with the latest advancements in financial technology to create a platform to allow everyone to invest in clean energy projects. We created Datawatt.
We want everyone to have the power to access the financial returns of renewable energy investment; to help build our clean energy future.

His expertise ranges from general management and marketing to product launch, design and development. John has deep and well-rounded business experience across agency, startup and client ventures.

Chief Strategy OfficerMark is an entrepreneur and seasoned marketing leader with over 25 years of experience. He has led and implemented integrated communication strategies across various industries, from telecommunications to packaged goods, hospitality, sports, retail, spirits, mobile devices, insurance, and financial institutions.

David Halligan
Co-FounderDavid is Co-Founder of Datawatt Energy. He has more than 15 years of experience in renewable energy and is the former CEO of Goldwind Americas. David has held senior level finance roles with various independent power producers. David is a graduate of the University of Manitoba and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Evelyn Lim
Co-FounderEvelyn is Co-Founder of Datawatt. She has more than 20 years of renewable energy experience and 35 years of legal experience. She has held executive level positions with energy companies and executed complex financing transactions building infrastructure around the world.
